I was born October 7th, 1986 at Brookwood Medical Center in Homewood, Alabama. I sent off for my original birth certificate information and received it. I'm not so sure I will give the name of my birth mother here on this forum, but I did an internet search with the information I was provided from the records and came up with pretty much nothing. The thing is, I really don't want to meet my birth mother. I feel like now, since we have been separated 20 years, my whole life and half of hers, I see no need to try to meet her. I feel that would only bring back any pain she might have had when she had to give me up. I would, however, really like to write a letter to her (granted I knew her address) thanking her for what she did for me because I have a great life.

I don't know how I will be able to do this without her current address though. I don't even know why I started writting this. I guess I just wanted to get it off my chest. Thank you for listening.
