Congratulations on your baby girl. I have three girls adopted from India. I took great care in choosing their names. I gave each of my girls a new Indian first name. I then used the name given to them by their birth mother as the middle name. I noticed you have Maya on your list. This is the first name of our 19 month old. In Tamil it means "illusion" and was chosen by us because she was a special needs referal. Maya had a horrible medical history...but to see her...she didn't appear to have anything wrong. So we chose the name Maya for her...it fit perfect. I have three other names I'll list for you that have always been favorites of mine...Kiley, Anna, and Claire. Best Wishes...Karen

Hi Shay!

We were at our son's pediatrian's office last week and I heard the most beautiful name - Yael. It means the Strength of God. I just thought it was so pretty!

I really like the name Maya!!
The girl names that we have picked out are Olivia, and Makenna, but Maya has always been one of my favorites also!
Olivia means peaceful and Makenna means happiness!
Good Luck, and have fun!
Nicole

Smile names

I knew a friend who grew up wanting to name her daughter FANTASIA, she had twins and ended up naming one "Tasia" like asia with a T in front. I also really like polynesian style names, like Lineti or Irish like Charmaine

personally I have picked (for my future children):

Julia Isabella
Brett Michael
Gabriella Nicole
Charmaine Allyson
