Ok, everyone, I am happy, no, thrilled, to say that my homestudy visit begins on Wednesday. The SW is coming to my house and I have some additional questions. I have already filled out and 'passed' the paper part of the homestudy, meaning I have submitted all required paperwork. My agency sets you up with a SW upon completion of the MAPP (PRIDE) classes and the paperwork.
Since there was a mix-up with the agency, I am allowed to start the homestudy visits contigent upon an agreement that I will complete the classes in the near future. Anyway, sorry, I digressed. My question is, is there any additional paperwork that I have to fill out at this stage of the game. Also, would I have to have multiple visits or should this one home visit be sufficient. My agency is Lutheran Social Services . I don't know if that matters. Thanks, Lisa |

Lisa,
Congrats on starting your visits. Our visits start this upcoming Friday. I know with our agency - Black Adoptions Services - with Three Rivers Adoption Council - we were told that we will have at least 3 visits - one with me, one with my husband and one to give approval on what was written about us. I would suggest that you ask your case worker/social worker when they come over. Good luck and have a great visit.
