Smile My friend is taking her baby girl home Tuesday!

She saw her today for the first time!! She (my friend) cried like a baby!

She says she is absolutely beautiful. Her Name is Ryan Nicole, she is 15 days old, weighs (at birth) 5.5 lbs. She is tiny but doing great. She has a doctors appointment on Wednesday so they will check her weight then.

The birthmom decided not to come and she wont be there for the placement tomorrow. Not sure why, but I can imagine this has to be difficult for a 15 year old to register.

I'm so happy for her!

I have heard (at Bethany in Atlanta) that the birthmom will be there the day that the AP meet the baby, some even the placement.

I think I would like to meet the birthmom the day we meet the baby but not on the day of placement. That would be extremely difficult because I would be an emotional basket case full of joy and she would be expectantly sad.

I say that now, but the day of - Lord knows I will probably be a complete mess

I can't wait until 1:00. They invited us to the placement.

I will come back later to tell you all how it went.

I'm so happy for your friend. How exciting to finally see the end results of all your waiting, worrying and praying. Today is going to be such an emotional day. I'm glade I stopped by good news before a holiday makes the holiday even more enjoyable.

We met our son's bparents before meeting our son. On the day of placement! We visited with them for about 45 minutes. And I think I WAS a basket case. I don't remember much of what was said...I could hardly wait to meet our son. But I know it was a hard time for the bparents...so I tried to curb my joy. (I did cry with the bmom, though.)

When we met our son, I couldn't stop looking at him...I hardly dared hold him, afraid he would disappear. (Besides hubby kinda hogged him for awhile. )

I can hardly wait for it all to happen again. (Our son is now 2)
