Hair Care Products you will NOT use again

I thought I would make a post on this in regards to hair care. This is not to slam any company but hopefully help others avoid some of the same hair tragedies I or others have experienced when I heard about a product that was just amazing and promised good results.

What are hair products that everyone raved about, but had horrible results or just overall was not worth the hype or money spent?

For me it's Carols daughter everyone raved about her products and I ordered the hair milk and hair butter and the stuff had the most horrible smell as well as weighing down my hair (I'm racially mixed black, mexican, native american) and the money I spent on shipping was not worth the quality. Before Carol's daughter went main stream I heard the products used to be outstanding but according to a lot of reviews and my experience the quality and ingredients have drastically changed, and for the price of the products since they are celebrity endorsed I wouldn't reccomend these products when you can find products for half the cost that work better.

Pink Oil is another I will not use again the lotion is way too greasy and is known to clog your scalp pores and the smell is very strong and off putting as well.

The hair butter may have been too heavy for your hair? I have heard that CDs products have more preservatives now. I do use the Hair Milk at times, a little in my youngest sons hair.

Totally do not care for Pink Oil.

Thanks for the thread... sorry to butt in - I'm not aa but my daughter is and I am less than thrilled with the CD products too. The only one of the 4 things I got that I like is the hair milk although the smell reminds me of floor cleaner. Black vanilla hair smoothie smells better but does nothing to help hydrate her hair.

Pink is horrendous on her hair and has a nasty stench.

I have a cabinet full of products which I don't like and among them is optimum oil therapy hair cream, magic gro, and just for me detangler.

I found what I think is best for her hair (which is very tightly curled and dry) but I'll be curious to see what others say in terms of products to avoid.

I'm not a fan of Pink either. I tried something called Softie and that wasn't good either. I don't care for the smell of Just for Me products.

I do love the smell of the Jamaican Lime oil stuff that I have, though.

Yes! That's it. I keep some in a squirt bottle with water to wet down their hair. Sometimes, I even squirt some in their bath tub! It smells great on both of them and soaks in really well.

Not a fan of Pink at all. I love CD but not the Hair Milk. I think it is the smell for me. Just couldn't get past it. My daughter's hair needs very little moisture so the Black Vanilla line works really well on her.
