Non-Mom Moms
Americas Favorite Mom | Mothers Day TV Special - Presented By Teleflora -
The America's favorite mom contest has the following category: The non-mom mom Grandparent, stepmom, or mom to adopted children, each one raising and loving a child. A priceless gift for everybody. What in the world?! The winner will be announced on a show hosted by adoptive mom Marie Osmond and her brother Donnie. The semi-finalist were on the Today Show. I wrote an email to NBC and the Today Show to let them know how I feel. I'm also writing one to Teleflora for sponsoring such a category.

Update
We made a difference. They've changed the title of the category from Non-mom Moms to Adopting Moms. I'm still bothered they have to seperate adoptive moms from other moms, but one step at a time, right?

OH MY GOSH!!!! So, for all that we go through we are on the same level as grandmothers?????
When we finalized our adoptions my kids got new birth certificates. On the birth certificates I was listed as MOTHER. I think if I were to enter this contest I would just enter under the regular Mom category. I AM NOT A NON-MOM!!!!!!!!!
