Talking Why CA adopt AA or biracial kids?

Hi, guys!
My name is Maria. I'm CA and my dream is to adopt an AA boy not now of course, because i'm too young and still student. Now i'm trying to collect information on adoption.
Can you tell me why CA people adopt AA or biracial kids?
Does social worker ask you ( if you are CA) about your reasons for wanting to adopt AA or biracial kids when you go through home study?
Is this question asked by somebody at all? By agency, your relatives, friends and so on. What do you tell them?
Thanks for your time!

Hi,

The applications usually have a check list, where you check off your preferences, so DH and I were never "questioned" per say. I saw where you already have an AA daughter, so it should be a breeze for you :-). Best wishes on your journey.

SweetJane, since this section is for African American adoptive parents, you might get more replies if you posted in the Transracial Adoption section.
