Need help finding reasonably priced homestudy and agency or lawyer.
Hi,
I am very new to this forum and trying to adopt. I am a married AA female (of mixed race) living in California. We are hoping to adopt an infant of either sex, AA or bi-racial. It is SO difficult figuring out the best way to start. We were told that it's a good idea to begin the homestudy right away, even if we haven't decided upon an agency. ANYONE who has experience with homestudy providers, an attorney or agency that charges reasonable fees, please let me know. We've heard so many good stories and so many nightmares, that we are hoping to learn from your wisdom. Please email me (or PM) any info you'd be willing to share. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!
