Question Adoption ARC/Adoption STAR

I'm a canadien interested in adopting in the US. These are 2 of the very limited # of agencies we are looking at. I would love to hear some stories! PM or email.

Cheers

Heather,

Did you find that most US agencies work with Canadians? I am in the same boat, although my husband is a US citizen. We currently reside in Manitoba.

Hello,

I'm in WInnipeg. No most don't, there is a list of agencies hwo work with canadiens here
Adoption agencies in U.S. (Family Helper)
Although I get the feeling attorneys and facilitators would have more leeway. So far we are looking seriously at adoption arc, adoption star, and adoption link.

good luck
Heather

Heather,

I would love to keep in touch and hear which decision you make regarding agencies. We live just outside of Winnipeg (Steinbach), and we're still deciding on whether to adopt from the US or from China. And then, once we make that decision, we have to decide if we want to use a US agency or a Canadian agency.

Have you had your homestudy done already? Do you know who you're going to use? Do you know how much it's going to cost? No matter which agency we go through, we will have to get our HS done locally, and I'm curious to know who's available and how much it'll set us back.

Email me if you'd like too!

Good luck!
Chrystie

Heather, my husband and I are also considering working with Adoption ARC. Can you let me know if you chose them, and if not, why? Please PM me or email me.

Thanks!
Wendy
