Hi,

My husband and I hope want to sart the adoption process this month, but I would like to get some referrals and feedback on reputable AL agencies. We are an AA family from Birmingham, AL and we hope to adopt an AA or Biracial newborn. We are strongly considering using I.A.C. in Atlanta, but would prefer to find an AL agency in hopes of keeping our adoption costs down (avoid travel & ICPC costs).

for our post placement we are using the childrens center of metro atlanta. I would checkw/ all the different agencies that are truely licensed by the state. Open door deals w/ lots of AA babies but they will only take a xtian couple. Which we are not.

I've got a wonderful agency in Ohio that does lots of interstate and may be willing to work with you on fees (payments?). PM me if you want the name. I talked w/our post placement worker just this a.m. and they never have enough AA families waiting and are always working with AA mothers. Let me know.
