Welcome! I'm a mom to a 4 year old daughter and we live in Georgia, not too far. I'm looking forward to getting to know you better and since your dd is a little older then mine, I'm sure I'll be seeking some of your wisdom. I've sent you a pm.

Peace and blessings,

Kelli

And I'll be taking notes on whether boys are that much different than girls in what they do at those ages

Hello!

Kelli & Adrienne,

I am excited to hear from you!!! I am always looking for other families like ours so that my dd will have someone like them to talk to. My best-friend is adopted and they have a close teenaged cousin who is also adopted but I just worry about them dealing with being adopted and making sure that they know that they are doubly loved, by both set of parents. We live in SE TN and are in Atlanta often so hopefully one day we can get together, Kelli. Do you have contact with the birthmom's? How often do you talk to your kids about being adopted?

Debbie

I'm late chiming in but I live north of Atlanta. I'm a fairly new adoptive mom. I have a 7 month old DD and a 8 month FS who we hope to adopt next year.

There are a great bunch of ladies here. I've met one already for lunch. I'm still trying to work something out with Kelli. Those of you with older kids need to help us out who are still early in the game.
