AA Hair Care
Hello,
I am a new member, and am looking for some help on how to braid my daughter's hair. She is now two years old, and her hair is about 3-4 inches long when stretched out. It's coarse, wirey and frizzy. I had her hair trimmed when it started to first grow out because it was so uneven and I didn't know how to care for it. I want to braid it because it's a different look but also want to make sure it's comfortable for her to wear and sleep in. Any step-by-step directions or suggestions would be helpful. |

resources
I have come across some great resources.
1. Two books "It's all good hair" and "Kids talk hair" 2. Web sites, there are many with good advice, one of my favs is called something like "her special hair", like to books above they have pictures. 3 AA hairdressers in your town, we met someone who comes to our home when our daughter needs the small briads (we can't do those yet). 4. Previous posts on this site, there have been many on the AA parents board and also transracial adoption sections. Best of luck |
