Hi Everyone,
I can't believe that I just posted to this section of the forum for the first time last night. and just wrote how dh and I came to our decision to include AA on our profile and we got THE CALL this morning!

We are beyond excited! I'm not even sure what we are right now other than basket cases!

The due date is December 11th!! So far they have been telling "L" that it's a girl. She (the Baby) is Puerto Rican, Portuguese, and African American.

We talked with the ** three times today and we're taking her out to lunch this Saturday.!

For those of you who pray we sure could use your prayers!

Judy...I did congrats you on the general adoptive forum but congrats again!!! The baby girl sounds so beautiful..My daughter is Multi-Racial and our soon baby, if ** doesn't decided to parent, will be AA/CC...(Boy)

Have a great time this weekend with ** and let us know how the meeting goes!!!

MCKenna- We asked the birth mother if she would like to have a part in naming the baby and she told us that her names would probably be to wierd for us and since we're going to be the parents she wants us to name her...so her name will be; "Isabelle Grace" or in case something was being hidden in the ultra sound the name will be "Elijah Alexander"

Just wanted to tell you that you are all in my prayers. My prayer is that God will keep and bless all of you and that the process will be a good one for all involved. I am so very happy for you and I wish you nothing but joy and happiness. By the way, I am loving the names!!! May this be the beginning of a lifetime of happiness as parents!

I know I saw your post when you announced the name your dh decided on. I was relieved for you because didn't he have a pretty strange name that he was set on at first and would even call you from work, say the name, and hang up?

You have been reading all of our posts on wanting to adopt..(Stacy's Journal)..hehehe!!! Yes, my hubby was driving me nuts with the name Johnny Ace but can you believe it was a joke the whole time???

He made me so mad but he knows what gets me going..But now that I look at it, it was kind of funny!!! But I really did think he was wanting to name the baby that!!

Thank God the baby will have a nice name and NOT Johnny Ace..That name sounds like a old country singer!!

Still love the names you want to use!!! So glad that you are matched!!! Congrats again!!

Congrats Judy:

I am so excited for you. I completely understand your excitement as we too have been matched with an AA infant that is due December 10th. I signed with my agency on October 15th and was matched on October 30th. DH and I have been to dinner with the birthmother several times and I was able to accompany her to a few prenatal visits. WOW!!

Last evening, I even had the opportunity to tour the hospital's birthing center with her. DH and I are supposed to be present during the birth.

I will keep you in my prayers as you get closer to the delivery date. Again..congrats!

I have been thinking about you for about a week now and was getting ready to pm you to see how you were doing when our lives suddenly went crazy! You can read what's been going on in the general adoption forum under prayers needed.

Thans for the congrats and good thoughts. CONGRATULATIONS to you too! I'm so happy that you are matched!

What agency did you finally decide on? Looks like we'll both have our babies home for Christmas!!

Let's keep each other posted and I'll put a picture of our little angel on here when I figure out how and as soon as she's ours!

It's good to hear from you! I'll be praying for you too.

I think that is great that you've got to spend so much time with your birthmother!

We have only talked to "L" on the phone and have E-mailed each other daily. We really like her a lot and tomorrow we get to meet her in person finally when we take her out to lunch. I think a tour of the birthing wing is a great idea we may do that while we're up there.

"L" wants me and DH in the delivery room too and (this makes me cry every time I think of it) she wants DH to cut the cord. What an honor and how very special that is!!
