I know of an orphage in Benin, West Africa, called the CASE project. I'm trying to find any information about adoption from Benin. So far I haven't found anything that says you can't, but I also haven't found anything that says you can. I talked to someone from the U.S. State Department who said I would need to contact the Benin government. I've left messages via the Benin Government website and also the Consolate of Benin website, but haven't received any responses. Does anybody have any recommendations for me?

You might want to contact some of them to see if they do any work in adoption and if they are conversant with the adoption laws of Benin and the U.S. (Remember that, just because a child may be adoptable under Benin's law does not mean that he/she may be eligible for immigration to the U.S. on an adoption visa.
