Who has adopted from Zambia? Anyone no how the process works and where to start??

Just remember that very few Americans, except for blood relatives, have ever managed to do an adoption from Zambia. As a result, adopting from Zambia must be considered high risk.

I am adopting from Zambia, I have 4 friends who have already adopted from Zambia since last September another one coming in 2 weeks, and at least 4 more behind them. It IS do-able. It IS being done. It is just opening up for international adoption, so it's not always smooth. Travel is required by at least one parent. There are two US agencies working with one particular orphanage in Zambia, but they are not yet set up with the Zambian authorities.
