Hi all,

I post on the guatemala board but friends of mine havee been presented witha unique situation they need advice about.

They are a married couple been married over 10 years. They are unable to have children. They have a holiday home in Gambia and go there 2/3 times a year. They have made very good friends with a lot of the locals and have set up a support fund for the local school, opened a free cinema for the kids etc and invested time and money in the local community. Well today they had a call from their next door neighbour and friend about a local girl who has dumped her baby and does not want it. The baby is newborn and living with his friend right now and they would like for my friend and his wife to adopt the baby. If they dont the baby will go into a local orphanage probably for life.

My friends are excited but cautious they do not even know if it is possible we live in the UK.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated by them.
