I have recently posted that I am conducting research at the University of Copenhagen on why adoption from South Africa is so low in the US and Canada, given the AIDS situation.

I realise that currently the US is closed to adoption from South Africa and that it is quite difficult to accomplish in Canada, and thusly I would like to survey parents who have adopted in the past AND those that have attempted to, but for one reason or another, did not complete the process. Hello Jody;

My husband and I have researched adoption from several countries and are residents of Canada. To the best of my knowledge, there are no agencies or facilitators in our country that are familiar with organizing South African adoptions.

If anyone has info to the contrary we would love to hear from you!
