I do not know about any of you, but we were told that after we adopted our first child that they should have some post adoption programs in place for us very soon. 10 years later, we are still looking at nothing.
I would like to think that there has to be grants out there for something, anything for the families that really need it. Does anybody know anything about grant writing, where to get info on companies that give grants for programs specifically dealing with the foster or adoptive families? We also just returned from Washington DC and was told very loudly to contact our representatives to rally for post adopt services. Any ideas?????

Answer
Hi Michellemomof5,
We are addressing this very issue right now. For more information go to the "Failed and Contested Adoptions" and then look under "joskids and others of us with these problems." I'm also sending you a PM. Yes, you are absolutely right. Adoptive parents seem to have no one to stand up for them. It looks like we will need "rally" together if we ever want support for us. Several of us have been discussing this in the above-mentioned forum. Best regards, Christie S. |
