Let's hear UPDATES!!

For us, it has now been over 1 1/2 yrs since dd came home. Her behaviors have improved dramatically (total 180 turnaround), and although I had been committed to her, until the "real her" started to shine thru, I wasn't really loving her. Now, I feel as though I am about 85-100% fully in love with her any given day. I haven't experienced a panic or anxiety episode since about November. The Wellbutrin REALLY took the edge off my frustration and increased my ability to have "thick skin" and not be so affected by tough stuff.

We are at about 7.5 months home. While I'm still exhausted - I think we are about 75% there. They are really trying to follow rules - not always succeeding, but the pure attempt has made me so much happier. I have let go of some of my superhero dreams...and am just happy if we get through the day with no major occurences...and I think that is about what life is for now!

I am doing very well these days. I have my days as all mothers do,but I believe the PADS is gone, although the remembrance of those awful thoughts still haunt me from time to time.
