Well.........it's been over one month with no anti-biotics after David's surgery!! No more biting or spitting and no more letters home from 3-K David now crawls up in my lap on his own to snuggle and to nuzzle his nose in my neck to be rocked to sleep!! When he sees me sit down in the rocker he can hardly wait to climb up in my lap for a good long rock and some of Mommy's kisses. David now will tell me & DH that he loves us before we can tell him - and it will come up out of the blue. Since it's been 80 degrees the past few days - David has discovered rolly polly bugs, worms & eek! FROGS! He also found out they pee pee on you! David has chased birds, watched bulls from the "right" side of the fence and even fed the horses behind our house. He love to leave pecans on our deck and watch the squirrels come in the early mornings to nab them and run to their nest to eat them. Sunday, if the weather is good - he will go on his first fishing expedition - on the bank of course - no boats - and I have been told I will buy fishing license this year - yuck...... I always did hate the feel of a worm cringe when you put a hook in them - but if it is one more "adventure" (that's what David calls his new experiences) then so be it! Tonight was his first swim this year in the hot tub outside! He loved it and has grown at least 6 inches from this time last year and does not need to tippy-toe to keep the water from going up his nose - it actually is a little below his shoulders!! Wow he is growing! What a roller coaster year this has been for all of us - but the surgery was worth it all - what a difference this month has made in him. His sentences are even becoming longer! Please, everyone try to write something good about what's going on with your child - and your life - then if you are experiencing something bad - put that in too - maybe we can all get to know eachother better and can help eachother when times are tough and we just need to know there are others out there in cyber space that are going through the same things we are! I am getting spontaneous REAL affection on a regular basis. NOT to get something or to manipulate my emotions !!! AND She is 5 and finally able to process complex thoughts and self-analyse. I get much more days of good behavior now that she can recognize the grumpies BEFORE they get there.....
