Hello all,
I am a new mom (2 months) to my 2 year old daughter. I am feeling much better these days, but the first month was very .....disapointing, discouraging, overwhelming, frusterating, etc... you get the picture. My husband doesn't understand why I am not happy now that we FINALLY have our daughter home after waiting 8 months between trips 1 and 2 (Russia). I know my daughter has issues with attachment, but she seems to be progressing. Overall, she is an amazing little girl, and this past month we have bonded really well. Reading your posts and threads helps strenghen me and makes me remember that I am not alone in this. Thank you, I'll be seeing you here with my own issues as they arise. Kellee

Welcome Kellee! Congratulations on the adoption of your daughter. I know the frustrations and challenges of being newly home. These boards helped me tremendously as well as doing a ton of research on attachment.

Hi Kellee. Congratulations!! I remember your icon used to be a lamb? Now you have your beautiful daughter as your icon.

Your daughter is such a cutie!!! And I am sorry you struggled but am so glad you found US!! Please feel free to share the good, the bad, and the ugly with us... I am sorry I didn't reply sooner but 'the uglies' have reared their nasty head over at my house once again. It is to be expected as my son had surgery and was hospitalized overnight last Thursday....but I was hoping against hope that THIS would be THE ONE...and he would finally trust me without pushing every one of my buttons and all of my limits! But...nope! Anyway, we are SO glad you found us....WELCOME!!!
