My favorite is Valentine's Day. We have a standing tradition of eating at the same restaurant every year - we each go around the table and tell each other person one thing we like about them the best. There is no responsibility to buy gifts or travel to see family out of state. Really...no stress!

Thanksgiving - I just LOVE the peacefulness of the holiday, the meaning of it.

Thanksgiving has always been my favorite. I've always loved just kicking back with family and having time just to "be" together. And I don't usually have to cook (which is nice). It also kicks off the Christmas season which I also love. I love all the preparation for Christmas throughout December. There are so many traditions from my childhood that I'm looking forward to starting with my own kids (baking Christmas cookies, making candles, looking at Christmas lights). And we've started a few new ones to include both my family and DH's family (making photo ornaments, having family photos taken, having all the grandparents over for breakfast on Christmas morning).

Now that I have kids, though. I find that there is always something coming up that I'm really looking forward too. I LOVED 4th of July this year because my daughter actually got something out of it! I'm SO looking forward to Halloween because DD will kind of "get it" this year and I can't wait to take the kids to the pumpkin patch! Easter was a lot of fun this year. Just having a small holiday that means my DH has the day off ends up being a fun picnic at the park!

Easter. Because without Easter nothing else matters.
