Adoption Baby Book

I'm an adoptive mother to a son who just turned 1. It's an open adoption. I'm new to this forum. I've been searching for a good "baby book" for him but haven't found one. Everything I've seen is specific to a biological child. Does anyone have any ideas on where to find a baby book for an adopted child. I'm very surprised that it's so hard to find.

When our son was born 7 years ago, my friend found one from Hallmark especially geared for adoption...It was wonderful!!

They don't have them anymore, but their baby albums have a set of pages inside them that are for adopted children.

Other than that, I'd go online to one of the major bookstore/websites and search there...

There actually was a thread about this in the General Parent Support forum. I would search this site for Baby Books and you should find it. If I find it I will see if I can send the link.

I actually found the books on this site. Go to Adoption Products - Books, Gifts, Jewelry. Adopt, Adoptee, Birth Mother and look under books, lifebooks. They should have what you need.

baby book

I struggled with the same thing. I found a book called I Love You So... by Marianne Richmond. I read it in the store and bought it for these two particular pages.
The book talks about how much she loves her child the two pages are these

"That is a lot," you say, "but how did it start? Where did love come from to be in your heart?" You put it there, really, when you and I met. And I knew for certain without you I'd fret.

I bought the book for the "when you and I met" part.
It's great and I love reading it to my daughter. I hope this helps!

Amanda

I know that this post is old but if anyone else is looking for adoption books. I believe in Oct or Nov it is national adoption day and Target always carries books on adoption.

Also a friend gave me a book Disney's "Winnie the Pooh" Album through Hallmark.

I did find one once. I can't remember where (on the internet). Just keep searching. It was cool bc you could remove or move pages around, as it was like a 3 ring binder.

My friends made me a wonderful baby book. They have pre-made pages for years 0-3, and have included spaces for letters from bmom and pictures of bmom etc. We have a semi open adoption so these pages will be filled. I love this book, and they were able to do it in one afternoon by scheduling a scrapbooking party at our local store. This turned out to be part of my surprise baby shower.
