Saturday November 17th is National Adoption Day. Courts all over the U.S. will be finalizing adoptions. What a great day it will be for so many.
Do you have any special plans? |

I had "planned to plan" something. . . but time got away from me and now DS is sick. I think I'll still do something special, but small. I want to use National Adoption Day as the day my family celebrates becoming a forever family, rather than tie it to placement or finalization. . . since who knows? I may adopt again! Plus, I just like feeling like we're part of something bigger.
When I was thinking about it earlier, I was contemplating things like releasing balloons or star watching. Things that bring to mind the vastness and intimacy of the world. . . and might help us feel closer to DS' birthfamily. What are you planning?

Those sound like great ideas! We haven't planned anything in particular.
To all those that will finalize tomorrow many congratulations! |
