My Two Cents Starting in a new daycare

So, next week Kelcee actually goes into a preschool/daycare 2 days a week. It is time for her to start being around other children her age to learn her social skills and so on.

I know she will transition fairly well. I think (know) I am the one going to have the hard transition. She is not going to be with her caregiver full time just 2 days a week now. This is such a loving person in her life and I feel so blessed to have been there with her for 2 years.

Help me out. I need to transition better.

I wish I could support you better in this but I transitioned Zara to day care when she was 2 months old. It is such a great experience for her and she learns so much with all the activities. She is now such a social butterfly that people comment on how good she is around others.

I am sure your daughter will do fine.

I am going through the same thing. TJ will start at his "drop in" day care this week. He won't go everyday and even when he goes it will be for a short period of time (2-3 hours), but I know I will miss him. He need to go, he is sooo social and loves to play with other kids. Since I stay home, all he really sees is me and other kids at the park once-in-a-while (live in Texas, wayyyy hot). TJ will love it, and if he doesn't, I can always take him out...it isn't jail.
