I have started looking into putting Kelcee into preschool a couple of days a week. I think it will help tremendously with her speech too.
This is a very small preschool only about 14 children. There are 2 teachers and about 4 helpers. They seem to have quite a bit of structure which is what Kelcee operates on best. What else should I be looking for? |

Check to assure that all of the teachers and workers have had---not only state, but also national background checks. A lot of pre-schools don't have to have that qualification; but it's essential in helping provide the safety of your child (as you already know
).And......I wouldn't take the 'word' of someone stating this; I think I'd be asking 'When was the most recent background check conducted?' Also, ask what kind of credentials the teachers and aides have. Some pre-schools really cut-corners in this area. If you're paying the $$ for a quality pre-school, the teachers should reflect this, you know? I'm not usually a big advocate of pre-schools, but if you're gonna do it, it pays to check into details. Good luck. Sincerely, Linny |
