My wife and I have 5 children, 3 boys and 2 girls, with the oldest being 34 and youngest 26, all have moved out and are doing their thing. We have now adopted a two and three year old sisters, two years ago and love them as much as our own children and they think that we are their real parents, and our question to this forum would be at what age should we tell them they are adopted and any suggestions on what wording to use would be helpful and grateful, I have green eyes and they brown so they have started to ask why they look different then us, one has Afro hair, she is 50% black&50% Hispanic, her sister is all Hispanic ,while I'm caucasian and my wife Hispanic, thank you for now.....

As soon as possible, especially if they are already asking questions. Get some children's books on adoption, and start introducing the idea of adoption to your girls. Once they have become familiar with what adoption is, then you can begin to tell them their own adoption tale.

It should always be "open" knowledge, otherwise they're going to feel that there's something "wrong" with adoption if it's kept a secret for a certain amount of time. I'd start right away with just getting some kids' books about adoption and just say that's how they came to you and "isn't that cool?"
Good luck! ;~) Kelly
