Re: Adoption Breakdown

I am actually in the process of trying to disrupt an adoption that took place in July 1999. His name is Dennis, he will be 10 years old in February and from the beginning he just was not a match. We have tried and tried to bond with this child but it is just not going to happen. Now I am looking for answers and it is the hardest thing I have ever had to do.

Just wanted you to know you are not alone with disrupted adoptions. Im sure you are a wonderful person and that this was the hardest thing you have ever done, I know, I am right in the middle of it.

Me, too

I don't know if you'll get this, since it's an achived thread. My late husband and I had an adoption breakdown about 15 years ago and it still plagues me.

My email is andie@telus.net if you want to write :-)

I would love to know of a disruption support group or if we could start one of our own on line. I have had my daughter in foster care since 2002 and adopted her in 2005. Since then I have been investigated by CPS twice because of alligations she has made when angry. She is tearing my family apart and I am not sure if we will be able to hald it all together if she stays. I feel like there will be nothing left of her to save if I give up on her but I don't know what else to do.
