Florida subsidy?
We are just now starting the adoption process. Is it true that after adoption the family receives subsidy from the state to help in the kids expenses?

As I understand the process, you can get a subsidy for any child labeled 'special needs.' If you check out the DCF website, you can get a list of the criteria for that qualification. I also think you have to request it during the process. It is not automatic. As with all things, ask your CW any and all questions that come to mind during the adoption process. There will always be some that come to mind later that you wished you had.
