Michigan Subsidy?

The children we are fostering may become available for adoption. Does anyone know anything about Michigan and how the subsidy thing works. Our first adoption was not eligible because he was too young. This would be a group of two children ages 2 and 3. Both have behavior issues and are level 1 for foster care payments.

Thanks for any info you may have!!!

Sib groups usually are considered special needs. If they have issues, which level 1 suggests, they will likely quailify. It is easier for AA children to be qualified for subsidy than cauc as they become harder to place at a younger age. Subsidy for all three of our kids in Michigan have been the same per diem as foster care.

Because the older one is already three yrs old, likely both children will qualify for subsidy. I just went through a class on this at my agency, and they said in order for a child under three to qualify they would need to be at a Level 2 or higher to qualify...but because there is an older sib, both would qualify. So you should get whatever they are getting now for foster care.
