A missing sock whose mate is gone. A distant pair apart so long. A rundown bridge never rebuilt. Like patches missing from a quilt. A letter thrown away and lost. Undotted I’s and T’s not crossed. A phone line with connections broken. Important words that can’t be spoken. We search the people on the street and in each face we hope we’ll meet, someone resembling who we are. The missing tie that seems so far. Karen Non-Id Letter Contact and a 40th Birthday Card via CI through courts from Birthmother 8/98 Nothing Since |

Thank you very much. Well, long story, but since I am a secret child and bmom can't come forward to release her identity as no one knows about me. I have no names or pictures and she was sent away to have me I have no state or city she was from. So, with very little in the way of ID information it's been a five year trek to try and locate her to no avail.
Probably will try at some point in time to contact the court CI from the state I was adopted into again and see if they wouldn't be willing to forward a letter to her. I did originally get a beautiful hand written 8 page letter and a 40th birthday card (no names, addresses or contact information was allowed) from here that I cherish. Thanks again, Karen |

Seababe.
How do you know that everything was a secret... was that from your Non-id info? Things may have changed since. When you are ready a CI is a great way to find your family members. I used a CI and found both my First Mom and Dad. It is obvious from the card that she sent you that she loves you and misses you. Good luck to you, I pray that love rules and reigns in your search |

"Seababe.
How do you know that everything was a secret... was that from your Non-id info?" Judy, My adoptive parents always "alluded" to the fact when I began asking questions about finding my bfamily that "maybe no one knows about you.". My bmother pretty much confirmed everything in her letter I had been led to believe about my adoption. "Things may have changed since." Yeah that's what I am hoping. Bmom asked for time and then never wrote back. I did have them close my case temporarily when I went through a divorce and moved but nothing has happened with contact from her since. They did find my bfather two years ago when they did another search but he wants no contact same reason secrets and all. "When you are ready a CI is a great way to find your family members. I used a CI and found both my First Mom and Dad." It was my only way to go since I had no information and wasn't even sure what city I was born in. "It is obvious from the card that she sent you that she loves you and misses you." Yes it was SO great cause I wrote and told her all of my interests and hobbies including favorite color and she found a Hallmark card with most ALL of them on it including my favorite color. Yeah that spoke volumns. "Good luck to you, I pray that love rules and reigns in your search" Thanks so much. You never know. I am writing a letter to be put into my file. The pic I sent is still there can't be exchanged until the ID release papers are signed. SO, my adoption poetry book will be out in the spring. I am looking forward to that it's been a six year dream as all. K ![]() |
