Thank you, Mother
The day of my birth was July 2, 1956
A situation you were in, and needed to fix. In Doctor's Hospital in Washington DC, you had a premature birth and delivered me. You signed over your rights with the stroke of a pen, You had no way of knowing what would happen to me then. My new Mom and Dad said they had received a beautiful gift, and they understood always, when my feelings would shift. I called Leonard Sattler, and asked him what, he could do? He said my records had burned in a fire and I would never know you. I have no need to hurt you or bring up your past or strife, I just wanted to tell you, I had such a wonderful life. It was an self-less act of love that day, You loved me enough, to give me a better way. I have children, and grandchildren of my own now you see, and occassionally wonder who out there looks like me. I know I have siblings, that much I was told, It would be nice to see them before I get old. As for you my Mother, although you're not here, In my heart you will always remain dear. Thank you. |
