Somewhere I have a sister. This is my letter to her. Long story short, our father was a serial rapist who preyed on disabled women and children. He worked at an institution in Salem, OR where he had impregnanted two severely disabled women in 1979, one was my mother and the other was my sister's mother, so technically we are half sisters on our bio fathers side. Annonymous sources have said that we were born on the same day or only a day a part, and that they believe my sister was adopted in California. I do not know her name, and at this point do not have the resources to pursue finding her but I hope to some day.

Dear Sister,

Where ever you are, who ever you are, I hope you know that you are loved. I hope you know that somewhere there is a person that is family, that thinks of you often and prays for you daily. It's been less than a year that I knew you existed and I hope someday I will find you. Rumor has it we were born on the same day. I can't help but wonder if our lives parallel each other's in any ways. I wonder if you know the truth, or were also told lies, I wonder if we have the same eyes, the same skin, I wonder if we talk a like. I wonder if you have kids, if you're married. Our father is a monster, but that does not make us one. Our mother's are beautiful, and a blessing to have in our lives so I hope someday you meet yours. I was adopted by my aunt which resulted in a very difficult childhood, I hope that loving caring people adopted you. Our father is African American, and our mother's were white, I hope that your family allowed you to embrace your heritage. Where ever, whoever you are just know that you are not alone and you are so loved, and you have three boys that you are an aunt to, and a sister that would drop everything to be there for you. I so hope that you do not feel lost and unloved like so many adoptees, so I just will pray that someday our paths cross and if they do not that you are able to feel my love and know that you are not alone.
