All I Have Missed

I ache for the chance to dry baby tears to pamper and to hold and chase away fears. I yearn for the gentle little boy kiss for the great big hugs that I'll always miss. I crave to hear sweet words "Mommy" and "I love you" to witness your first steps and first hair cut, too. I long to see that smile the laughter in your eyes I want to be there to hold you after bad dreams make you cry. I want to lay you beside me so I can watch you while you sleep and promise you I'll love you forever this love I have runs deep. I need to watch you grow into the person I know you'll be So, I have these memories to sustain me. Although I can do none of these and I cry with a heavy heart deep inside I know we're never really apart. Through all I have missed my love still abound I thank God each day for you Mom and Dad, I found. Amy L. Chenault July 5, 2001 For Dalton- The very core of my heart.

Dalton, like so many other adopted children are so lucky to have unselfish birth mothers and adopty mothers who love them so unconditionally!! I wish that all children were as lucky as the children in these poems and stories!
