Picture Frame
Written for my biological sisters after contemplating how much time I spend staring at my own reflection in the frame that holds their picture over my desk.
~*~ Picture Frame I like to look at my reflection through your picture frame The perfect anatomy of matching faces Triplet hazel eyes and smiles twinned against my own My soul contained in yours preserved behind glass Forever in that moment And I'm the invisible fourth kindred spirit The silent sister to be reborn While ghosts of unshared memories Penetrate then die away ~*~ The photograph in question was taken at my three older sisters' first meeting, four years before they found me. I'm always struck by how our eyes are all exactly alike. © Averne, 2006 |

I love that. Not only does it communicate a message, but your choice of words are soft and flowing.
