I like to send you pictures
of our sweet little boy
And I know that you love seeing
how he changes as he grows.

So I look through all the photos
of him so handsome and beguiling
and I try to find the ones that
I know will leave you smiling.

You sometimes ask why I don't ever
include any pictures of me
and I laugh and tell you It's because
I'd rather be the one picture-taking

But the truth is that these our yours
between just him and you
And I know that you save them, frame them,
and show them off just like I do.

So I'm sorting through this month's pictures
and finding the ones I really like
He has your smile in this one, a mud-pie mess,
and here's one of him on his bike.

I try to send all the moods... not just the smiles.
The pouting lips, the determined stare,
the peacefulness when he sleeps,
and that wonderful fly-away morning hair.

And then you always call and we both
start gushing about how cute he is
and we laugh at his antics
while making plans to visit soon

Because I want you to know him
and him to know you
He has enough love for both of us
and secrets just aren't good.

So I'm looking through these pictures
of him so handsome and beguiling
and I'm trying to find the ones
That I know will leave you smiling.

Thanks for sharing your poem. I am the one who wrote MY LITTLE ANGEL. My name is Olvia. My baby's adopted mother sends me pics on my email and sent me a couple pics in the mail. But i pray to god that she sends them as often as you. Because like you said we frame them and we cry and laugh at them as well as show them off. I currently yesterday went to my AA meeting and showed of my baby's pics the ones that i took at the hospital and the ones that they email me as well as the ones that they sent me. You are a wonderful adopted mother who honestly cares a lot about your baby's birthmother. And god is going to bless you more than what you can ever imagine for being so wonderful to that precious little angels birthmother. May God Bless You in so many ways.
