[Decision]

An empty stocking hangs on the mantel
Waiting for piece and love to happen
It sits untouched alone in this world
Every year it’s hung with care
Filled with patience and understanding
A reminder to all that a piece is missing
A family member out there wishing
One day I am sure it will be filled
With Candy and chocolate, gifts to be given
But for now….
Christmas morn it sits their empty
Filling my heart with unbearable sorrow
Joyous laughter fills the air while brother and sisters
Open presents to share
My heart is not joyous no happiness here
For your smile is missing and so are you dear.
One more year spent by the mantel touching an empty stocking
Wishing you were here.
Though I hope for your happiness I cant help but feel sad
The morn I wake up to an empty stocking.
