Where did you go?
The giver of life
Did you not know we care for you
Did you not know you will be missed?

I search for you,
yet my search is in vain.
I worry about you,
yet my worry leads to endless cyles of shame

I wonder if you'll be okay
if time will heal your wounds
and I reach out to you, in friendship
your gone, no fowarding address,
no phone call, no goodbyes.

I turn and pick up our child
I hug her and kiss her once for me
and once for you
I remember this is your journey
this is your time, this is your pain
I've no right to make it mine.

I go to sleep, my mind drifts to you
where can you be? Please God help her
Help her find her way
help her through another day,
Hold her strong in your embrace while she
travels the dark roads of life.
please don't let my childs other mother
pull away from us, pull away from life.

Please Lord, keep her safe and under your wing
while she travels and searches
for her meaning in life,
while she fumbles and cries out in pain
please God, tell her we care
we want to help, we want to share with her
the joy she has given to us.

I await for her return
with heavy heart, I let her go
in hopes that someday,
she will come back
stronger and with free will

We will be here
waiting for you,
wanting nothing but the best for you
for thru our child
a bond has been created,
you are a part of her, and now
a part of us,
We await your return
and pray for your safe journey.

Walk safely my friend,
for where you go, our hearts will follow
and in your darkness hour, please know
that somebody cares for you,
somebody miss you
and somebody awaits with baited breathe
for your return.
