older adoptees need love and families too

My God Given Parents where told that it would be at least thirteen years before I would "fit into the family". My life before thirteen was that of hell. By the text books, I should be a drunken, drug abuser etc... I was given true love from the time I was thriteen and still recieve that true love. Today I am 38, I am a mother myself. I work with persons that have disabilities, and would not trade a second of my life or any one thing. That would include to have been born by my God Given Parents. You see, I am the person I am today by the life that I have lived. I love life, my child with all of my heart and yes, my God Given Parents. Oh yes, did I tell you that they had two sons by birth. I also have a blood brother that was adopted by a different family. I found him serveral years ago. My family was there and gave me love, I grew and to am able to love. I guess the real reason that I wanted to write this was to let those of you know, that if you think that you can only have a loving family if you adopt a baby, that is not true. Love can concor all. Please don't forget the older children, they need love too. God Bless you all

I also us the term God Given but I use that to describe all my children those he gave me through birth and those he's giving me by adoption. Thanks Cathy
