BA in Communications with a passion for adoption

I'm a graduate from George Mason University with a BA in Communications. I have a great passion for the adoption field and want to find employment in this field. I have attached my resume and I look foward to getting feedback. Thanks!

Rebecca,

I like the format of your resume. However what type of position in the adoption are you seeking?

It was hard to tell by looking at your resume. If you know the area for which you will be applying for jobs, I may be able to give you some more feedback.

Over the years I have had to write and rewrite my resumes. It seems like the format is always changing.

Trina,

Thank you for responding to my post.

I would love to work directly with older children up for adoption as well as potential parents. With a Communications/PR backgroud, I would love to be able to help find ways to get potential adoptees interested in adopting older children instead of newborns.

Thanks,
Rebecca

Rebecca,

I just spent time writing a response and something happened.

Anyhow you may want to include an objective at the beginning of your resume. It can simply state what type of position you are wanting.

Have you researched jobs in your field? What types of jobs are you going to apply for?

Another piece of advice, on your resume, have your experience play up your attributes or experience needed for the job. For example if you want to work with children include your experience in this area.

I noticed that you have a lot of public speaking experience, you will probably want to play this up.

If you want to email or PM, any changes I would more than happy to look at it.

Good Luck,

Trina
