First, you need to be honest with your husband and let him know about your past. I'd be leery of placing my baby with anyone who could not be honest with his or her spouse.

Second, you need to be honest with your social worker, because the truth is going to come out anyway. If you get caught in a lie, you will likely get turned down and you will deserve it. As for the domestic abuse charge, that's a red flag to anyone, and it should be. I don't know the particulars of your situation, but I would not place a baby with anyone who had a history of domestic abuse.
