We are being turned down for our homestudy due to the fact that we have stuff on our criminal record. We are both 27 years old and this stuff happened over 6 six years ago. It does not even show up on our criminal record. Because we told our case worker about the incidents she requested the case dockets and has turned us down. I do not see how they can hold this against us since it is no longer showing up on our record! I am not talking about serious crimes. They are victimless crimes. Does anybody got any comments or suggestions about this? Please help I would appreciate any input that you may have.

there is no such thing as a victimless crime. EVery crime hurts someone, somehow. I don't know what you did, but it had to have been bad to get turned down. Homestudies and approvals are there for a reason. you want us to place our babies with you, we have a right to know if our children will be raised in safe homes with mature, responsible and loving people. Even if you were aproved, I'd never ever place my baby with someone who had a criminal record, victimless crimes or not.
