Homestudy

I understand your concern. When my husband and I were beginning our homestudy, we too were nervouse about not being rich. However, stay calm. Agencies are not looking for the very rich. If you can provide a stable home, have an adequate income to support yourselves and a child, put food on the table, etc., you're going to be just fine. The financial area of the homestudy is just for them to know you can support a child. Our son is almost 16 months old and we still don't have a lot of money in the bank!

angie, i would not worry about the financial aspect of the homestudy. i think most agencies want to see that you can provide for the child. we are definately not rich and we are not poor either and we have a beautiful 2 month old daughter now. our agency just asked what we made and who our employers were. i don't even think that our employers were contacted. i hope that this puts your mind at ease. best of luck with your adoption process
