What does H/S look for?

There is a little girl we are trying to adopt through private adoption, but are so cocerned about home study and what they look for. My husband and I, before we were together, made a lot of mistakes in the past financially and are correcting those mistakes now. We now are financially secure as far as income, but our past I'm afraid will haunt us. How important is your financial past when it comes to homestudy? I'm so afraid that's going to hurt our chances.

When doing an adoption home study, we look for financial stability, be that small, medium, or large income. We all make mistakes. It's what we learn from them that really counts. Have faith!
