Hits close to home

Hi Sara and Vanilla;
My daughter was born July 17,1977 at the hospital in Laurens, South Carolina. I was 15 when she was born, and my parents decided that this was the best thing to do. I didn't even know that I had a daughter, until I went back for my 6 weeks check-up and I looked at the file when the doctor left the room for a few minutes. I never got the right to hold her or see her at all. I have cried every bday, since she was born. I have been paying for this for almost 26 years. She will be 26 this year. Vanilla, I too hope to find my daughter. This will be wonderful for me and I hope her also. I know this will be her decision, but I hope she wants to see me also. Oh yes, I forgot to put her name when she left the hospital. The file had her name down as baby girl Penland.
Thanks for your time, sherri

I am an adoptee born 1-31-69. You should never regret or ask to be forgiven for the brave decision you made for your child. From an Adoptee point of view I know biological mothers like you are the most wonderful mothers in the world. I hope to find my mom some day and I hope you find your daughter.

Hey Diane,
I sure do appreciate your reply to my post. I hope every adoptee feels the same way you feel. I hope you too find your bmother very soon. I wish the best of luck to you as always. Take care, and stay in touch. Good luck on your search.
Sherri
