Lightbulb Help to Open the Records in NY

Following is a link to an Online petition supporting an adoptees' bill of rights and open records in New York state.

Please follow the link (you may need to cut and paste the link)
Read the petition
I hope all will sign

(while signatures from New York staters are especially needed signatures from everyone are welcome)

http://www.PetitionOnline.com/nysarpt1/petition.html

To be denied the knowledge of one's origins by an accident of birth is unconstitutional. Plese help to change the law in NY

Many thanks
and best wishes to all

-Marijke

I am pretty sure that I have already signed the petition for
N.Y. to open records.

Just wanted to say that the day there is OPEN RECORDS
EVERYWHERE that will be a great day. I hope I see it in
my lifetime.

I was fortunate enough to have been able to petition the
court in Minnesota and got a court order to get my OBC.
That should not be a matter of luck or the discretion of one
judge.

I am both an in-family adoptee and a mother who lost her only
child to adoption. We are reunited. I got his OBC for him and
he was thrilled.

WHAT WERE PEOPLE THINKING WHEN THEY MADE THESE LAWS.
It should be a human right of everyone to be able to have there
birth certificat, the real one, not the forged one.

Just one adoptees opinion.
