Tax Credit???

Yes, provided you have $10,000 in qualified expenses incurred after 2002 and you total annual income is less than $150,000, you are correct.

My husband and I are adopting 3 children from Guatemala and our adoption won't be finalized until early next year (May or June 2002). How does the tax credit affect us? Will we still receive a tax credit for our children and how much will it be per child? Also, if we are still paying our adoption expenses into 2002 can we claim them in 2003?
