I'm not sure if this is the best forum to post this, but I will try anyhow. My wife and I are trying to find a way to adopt for under 30K..... We had a prospective lead through an attorney, but unfortunately, even though the baby was due on the 8th of Feb, she was going to come early. I had proceeded in getting health insurance, but that wasn't going to take effect until 2-1. So, with ICPC, we HAVE to have insurance. Yes, I knew that with the homestudy last year.... but things happen. Adoption can happen at any time, and as of next week, we WILL be ready.
So, heartbroken today, we are going to continue to look and start stoking the fire again.
Unfortunately, the cost is exorbitant though, and when the attorney fees plus hospital fees were going to be around 10K.... that's a huge jump from 30K, and is much better for our budget.

We are based in Atlanta, but are willing to go anywhere in the US to adopt. The southeast would be best. Does anyone have an agency or attorney they would recommend? Like I said, between 10-20K would be ideal. I know some of you went to an agency with a 'sliding' scale, but I'm not sure how well that would work with us.
