x-posted .. Our Cigna Life Insurance Policy..
Someone mentioned borrowing against your life insurance policy.
I'm curious, for anyone who has Cigna -- do you know if it's possible to borrow? |

It depends on the type of policy, not the company. If you have a whole life policy or a universal life policy, you should be able to borrow against it (that is one of the primary selling points of that type of policy). However, if you bought the policy recently you may not have much cash value to borrow against.
If you have a term insurance policy there is no cash value and you can't borrow against it. Again, that's true for any company's policy. |

nycfsa is correct. It's all about the type of policy you have.
