Hi,

My husband and I will be adopting our first baby in a few years, but we don't think we can afford the monthly medical insurance cost for 4 people. Because of this, we don't think we can afford a 2nd baby I really would like to have 2 kids instead of having an only child. After our first adopted baby arrives, I'll be a stay at home mom and we'll be down to 1 income.

Is there a way around this???

Well, are you self insured or is the plan thru your husbands employer.

Most plans (at least from my experience) are either SELF or FAMILY

A coworker of my husbands pays the same for him, his wife, and their four kids as we do for just the three of us (me, husband and son).

If this is an employer plan, your husband should be able to ask his HR person/Plans administrator.

If this is a self plan, call your agent and ask for a quote...

We pay the same family price thru my hubby's company for one child or 4 children.
